Is it safe to access the dark web?? Is it a crime to access the dark web!!!!!

So it is a tough question to answer if the dark web is really safe to access or not. The dark web has its own positive side and negative side. It depends upon why you use the dark web. If you are using it for buying some illegal weapons or drugs then it is the negative side of the dark web or if you are using it for normally surfing the internet as you use Google then it's safe to use. You know Google is selling your data every second you surf. Google accepts that because when you sign up for a new email Google asks the user for privacy and policies where they ask for selling your data to the Google's on trusted companies. That is why when you search for something on Google as later some websites will pop up asking you for buying that etc. So that's what Google does with your data. And that's where the tor browser is different from Google. Tor browser uses duckduckgo as its search engine whereas duckduckgo is itself a search engine that does not save your history or data so Tor Browser does not sell your data like Google. So how the Tor browser works are that it uses 3 Tor IP addresses to access a website. It uses a mechanism called the onion router as you know that if you keep on peeling the onion it is endless so that is what is meant here also your IP connects to a Tor IP which is connected to another Tor IP which is connected to another Tor IP so you use a chain of 3 Tor IP chain. So you are not easy to track which is why it is said that everyone is 99.9% anonymous on the dark web. It is not 100% because the FBI or others can track you if they want. So you are not completely anonymous on the dark web. It is completely different from Google where you use your own IP address to access the website. In this, your history is not saved, and also your IP is not tracked your data is secured. If you are looking for privacy then you can use Tor. It is most secure than any of the browsers that you use now. And accessing Tor is not a crime also. Even Apple promotes Tor Browser and Apple does not promote any illegal application or insecure application. Tor browser is available for Windows Android Mac and Linux.
